The M96.70 twin-turbo is the strongest tuning candidate of the 996 era by a wide margin. It shares its architecture with the Le Mans-winning GT1 engine and takes recalibration extremely well. The naturally aspirated GT3's M96.76 gains far less.
These cars are old enough that mechanical condition matters more than calibration. Sort the engine first, then tune it.
