aFe Power Magnum FLOW OE Replacement Air Filter with Pro 5R Media drops into the Cayenne's factory airbox in place of the paper element and, by aFe's measurement, outflows it by up to 25% — the largest gain of any drop-in filter in the Porsche range. On a two-and-a-half tonne SUV, better breathing is worth having.
This is the oiled filter. Pro 5R uses five layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze, factory-oiled and tested at 98.6% filtration efficiency. It is washable and reusable, but it has to be cleaned and re-oiled at service intervals with aFe's Pro 5R restore kit. Be sparing with the oil: an over-oiled element can contaminate a mass airflow sensor. If you would rather never think about oil, the identical filter is available in dry synthetic media as Pro DRY S, part number 31-10134.

Note: Part number 30-10134 is supplied as a single filter. Clean and re-oil at regular service intervals using aFe's Pro 5R restore kit — oiled-filter cleaner plus blue filter oil. Do not over-oil: excess oil can foul the mass airflow sensor. aFe states this product does not require a CARB EO number.
