aFe Power Magnum FLOW OE Replacement Air Filters with Pro DRY S Media replace both factory paper elements in the 991. They drop into the standard airboxes with no modification and outflow the filters they replace — without introducing filter oil anywhere near the intake tract.
This is the dry filter. Pro DRY S uses three layers of progressive oil-free synthetic media. It gives up a little peak airflow to the oiled Pro 5R version of the same filter, and gives you back elements you wash, dry and refit — nothing to over-apply, and nothing that can migrate downstream onto a mass airflow sensor. For a 991 that is driven on the road rather than lapped, that is usually the better trade. If you want maximum airflow instead, the oiled Pro 5R pair is part number 30-10242.
