K&N 33-2076 High-Flow Replacement Air Filter drops into the factory airbox across the late air-cooled 911 range — Carrera, Turbo Carrera, the 1989 Speedster and the first Carrera 4. It replaces the paper element for the life of the car with no modification.
Oiled cotton, the original high-flow media. K&N layers oiled cotton gauze between epoxy-coated aluminium mesh, rated to flow up to 50% more air than a disposable paper filter and tested in an ISO 5011 laboratory for filtration efficiency. It arrives pre-oiled and is washed and re-oiled with a K&N Recharger kit rather than binned — K&N quote up to 50,000 miles between cleanings under normal highway driving. Be sparing with the oil at service time.
