K&N 33-2077 High-Flow Replacement Air Filter is the drop-in element for the 3.6-litre 964. It sits in the original airbox exactly where the paper filter did, needs no modification, and is the last one the car has to buy.
Oiled cotton, the original high-flow media. K&N layers oiled cotton gauze between epoxy-coated aluminium mesh, rated to flow up to 50% more air than a disposable paper filter and tested in an ISO 5011 laboratory for filtration efficiency. Supplied pre-oiled; washed and re-oiled with a K&N Recharger kit, with up to 50,000 miles between cleanings under normal highway driving. Apply oil sparingly at service time.

Note: K&N lists 33-2077 without a multi-filter annotation — it is supplied as a single filter. Clean and re-oil with a K&N Recharger kit; use K&N air filter oil only, apply it sparingly, and let the element dry fully before refitting.
Installation Instructions:
Wash it, re-oil it, put it back. Repeat for as long as you own the car.
