K&N E-0666 High-Flow Replacement Air Filter is K&N's round element for the 2.7-litre 981 Boxster. It drops into the standard housing with no modification and outflows the paper filter it replaces.
Check how many your car takes. K&N supply E-0666 as a single filter, and K&N's own guidance for this platform notes that some cars use a pair. Confirm your airbox count before ordering and adjust quantity accordingly.
Oiled cotton, the original high-flow media. K&N layers oiled cotton gauze between epoxy-coated aluminium mesh, rated to flow up to 50% more air than a disposable paper filter and tested in an ISO 5011 laboratory for filtration efficiency. Supplied pre-oiled; washed and re-oiled with a K&N Recharger kit, with up to 50,000 miles between cleanings under normal highway driving. Be sparing with the oil.

Note: K&N lists E-0666 without a per-box annotation — it is supplied as a single filter, and some applications on this platform take two. K&N's fitting guidance also notes the element seats one way in the airbox and uses the two supplied screws with the base re-installed per the service manual. Clean and re-oil with a K&N Recharger kit and apply oil sparingly.
