Bilstein shock absorbers for Porsche. Monotube gas-pressure dampers that control how your car settles, turns and recovers — the single component that most affects how a Porsche feels on a real road.
Monotube construction gives a larger piston area and far better heat rejection than the twin-tube designs most cars leave the factory with. That means damping stays consistent from the first corner to the last instead of fading as the oil aerates. Bilstein supplied Porsche as original equipment for decades, and these are built to the same standard.
Which line do you need?
- B4 OE Replacement — restores factory ride and handling. The right answer when your originals are simply worn out.
- B6 Performance — firmer, more controlled, at factory ride height with your standard springs. The default upgrade.
- B8 Performance Plus — shortened body, for lowered cars only. Correct travel and spring tension when running lowering springs. Fitted to a stock-height car it runs out of travel and rides badly.
- DampTronic — for cars with PASM or other electronically adjustable damping. These retain factory electronic control.
Dampers are sold individually. Two are required per axle, four for a complete car. Every listing states front or rear and the exact vehicles it fits.
An alignment is recommended after any suspension work. All Bilstein dampers are made in Germany and carry a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects.
