The Bilstein B8 Performance Plus DampTronic front strut assembly, part number 35-122135, is the front strut for a PASM-equipped 987 that has also been lowered. A monotube upside-down gas-pressure strut with a shortened body, built to work with the factory electronically adjustable suspension.
Two requirements: PASM, and lowering springs or sport suspension. Fits the 987 Boxster and Cayman, 2005-2012. The DampTronic side means the factory drive modes and in-dash controls keep working with no reprogramming. The B8 side means the shortened body is matched to a lowered ride height — on factory-height springs it runs out of travel, rides harshly and wears out early. A stock-height PASM car needs the B6 DampTronic (35-122111) instead.
